O yea it really sucks. The country has been destroyed. It's still a sweet place but now it's so dangerous.

Well we have to quickly come up with ah solution as far as I see it, there is also supersticions that the Gov't could be in on it for political reasons

Yes you're right.

However, as of the last few years the crime situation has taken a next level. Especially the Kidnappings and Robberies. I know for a fact that alot of Trini business people fleed their beloved country to migrate to places such as Canada, US & UK. Running away from the scary realities haunting them.

I know in the past the ex mayor of New York offered his services for security consulting and rooting our corruption however it was denied by the Government.

Do you know the government had spent over 60 millin TT on spy equipment from Israel some years ago? Suppose to help with crime but what exactly is the status of those equipment? Why isn't the media taking interest?

The latest stuff are the blimps and the eye in the sky units.

I hope all of this is leading somewhere. With elections around the corner (supposedly) the public wants some serious action on crime. Hopefully sweet trini would be saved.

I remember how nice it use to be. And those of you who were in trini about 5 years ago will know what I mean.

It is still sweet and you can still have a nice safe fun time when you go back now...but only if you keep alert and keep a low profile.

Its so sad though. Ever since I came to England i thought I would go back to trinidad after a while but with the crime getting worse and worse i wondering what it is i will be going back to.
Trinidad and tobago is such a wonderful place otherwise, the people, scenery and culture. It's a shame you have to weigh all this up with the crime situation when thinking whether its a place you can go back to long term.

Thats the thing when you leave your country for a better life, your not garanteed that the country going to be the same as you left it.
I'm sure if you still have links there, you'll be alright.
My uncle went back for good 5 yrs ago and hes lovin it,he comes back here once a year & thats in the summer, he dont want to feel the british cold again lol.
